Interests of Mine

Okay…before I can proceed any further with this blog, let me set the parameter for myself. I love graphic design, and the beautiful things, myself and others can create under it. I also enjoy web designing (though for the while I may suck at it). Photography, packaging, painting and other miscellaneous arts are also in my alley.

Honestly a lot of everything art appeases to me. So in lue of that, this blog will frequently address anything I created, anything I found that I truly love and feel the need to give props to, or just my rambling thoughts on whatever!

Feel free to join along with me.

Apple iPhone 3G Part 2

Okay…I’ve had the phone for a little while now..and the verdict is in..I love it!
Really, it blows my mind all the features jam packed into such a tiny package. It’s small but volatile (of-course in terms of amazing performance!)

There is only one peeve I have noticed..There are moments when it will freeze lock, not often, but still, I would rather not have to have that occur.

Either way, I am totally inlove with the phone, and will be keeping it for years! YEARS to come!

Another thing I cannot wait for is when they release the 3.0 OS for the phone, that ought to be exciting.

Apple iPhone 3G Review part 1

Now I know what all the rave was about! Good Lord this phone is amazing…Yes I was one who did not follow the hype, I felt like it was over commercialized and told myself nope!

But little did I know my Nokia would die on me and I needed a replacement and well I tried it and I LOVE IT!!

Now I am not one to gawk over electronics but let’s face it, what isn’t there to love on this phone?

Looks:

As far as looks are concerned, this phone is stylish. Slim, streamlined, very intuitive and just overall nice. Black shiny coating (there is an option to have a white version also). The Camera built in blends in very well. The buttons to the side and top are so streamlined they are not protruding.

Functionality:

Now if you don’t know me, then let me tell you, FUNCTIONALITY is KEY in anything i purchase! If it does not, can not or will not perform, I will not be buying it. Before I got the 3G iPhone, I required something to keep me abreast of my work schedule, school schedule and all my busy hectic day to day activities. While my Nokia N75 was fabulous (and I still love that phone, too bad it’s broken to pieces) it did not meet up to all I wanted.

The iPhone was a very awesome surprise if I should say so myself. It was amazing to see that something so small could offer so many amazing things. I am never so geeked by a phone but I must confess, this one had me excited. Now if the basics it comes with are just not enough for you, never fear the App Store is there!

The App Store is a phenomenal idea. It offers hundreds of thousands of applications, be it free or paid-for versions that you could use to customize the phone. Off the back, you;ll find that some applications you just have to have, and incorporate them so efficiently into your life.

One of my personal favorite function on this phone is the genius of being able to use the web, check my mail and listen to music. I love the speed, it’s very fast and it keeps up with my every changing pace of life.

I will be back to edit more on functionality and the must have Apps for your phone soon..So stay tuned!!

Woot woot!

Okay, so it seemed I took a super vacation from this blog but indeed I am back.

First off a few things I wanted to share. If you didn’t know APPLE is the best!!!

Okay end of personal opinion.

This is just a reintroduction post seeing that now I am ready to post away!!

Cheers.

Book Review: Wordpress Complete by Hasin Hayder

For the amateur blogger to the seasoned professional, here is a book that will be helpful to you. The book speaks about various topics all related to Wordpress, like installing, what competitors it has along with their features. It gives a good detailed look at what Wordpress truly has to offer.

A lot of people tend to not know how to use Wordpress to it’s full potential and like me may not have known all the ins and outs of it. This book was very well written. It goes in depth in trying to give you the vision of all the possibilities available via Wordpress. If you ever needed to install Wordpress manually, this book gives a detailed walk through on the steps to complete, or if you choose to the popular Fantastico via CPanel, it gives instructions there too.

Since a blog is personal, we all desire and want to make it our own, to suit our preferences. Hayder talks about how you can use pre-made themes to start being different from the crowd. But if you are seeking to unique, truly one of a kind, there’s a chapter there for that as well. With in-depth theme creation walk-through it is possible to finally make our own themes. I only wished this chapter was more thorough and detailed, but it suffices.

Every blogger by now, knows about widgets and plugins and their creative uses to make your blogging experience even more fun. Hayder takes a moment to highlight this as well. With information on what it is, how it used and even resources from which you can get all the plugins and widgets you could dream of.

Overall I recommend this book to anyone and everyone wanting to learn Wordpress. Whether you are new to blogging specifically with Wordpress you will find a great deal of information relative to you, or whether you are a professional, it never hurts to have a reference on hand.

I say job well done.
